The Design and Build Process

Step One
Making contact with Laurel Gardens is the first step.
You can call or send an e-mail (see our Contact page) to set up an appointment with one of our designers. The designer will ask you questions to determine your landscaping needs and offer ideas on how to satisfy those needs.

Step Two
Clearly define your goals. Perhaps you want to screen your property from a neighbor, solve an erosion problem, or would like an attractive setting to entertain outdoors in. Clarifying your goals (even by simply jotting them down on a piece of paper) helps you and the designer make the best use of your time and budget. Besides giving you exactly the style of landscape you want, we can follow your wishes on the amount of water use and maintenance you’d prefer. It’s all up to you.

Step Three
Our designers hand-draw scaled plans of your project. These hand-drawn plans are easily modified, if necessary, and provide you with a clear print of the project to refer to during or after the project installation.

Step Four
The plans are drawn and approved, and we schedule a professional crew to begin your installation. The time required to complete your installation is dependent on the size and scope of the project and weather that permits our crew to perform the installation. Unlike some contractors. we take care of permits, surveying, and inspection. This means your municipality, insurance company, and prospective home buyers will be just as satisfied with the project as you.
